SooBoo Designs: Personalized Party Invitations, Diaper Bag Tags, Child Birthday Invitations :: FAQs

FAQs
Q: What products can I combine to create my packages or boxes?
A: You may combine, any gift tags together, and any freehand and early american designs together to create your minimum.

Q: If my child's favorite colors are not on your color combos, what should I do?
A: Just email me or call me and I can suit your need.

Q: Why do you only use USPS for delivery?
A: I thought long and hard about this. The reason is, my products are so lightweight that it would not make sense to send them to you any other way. This is the most economical shipping method. I am hoping that you agree.

Q: What is NAME ART?
A: I have named my style of hand lettering "name art" since it incorporates your name and the colors you have chosen to create a wonderfully personalized product that only you have. The art part comes in because I actually hand-draw the name and use a form of watercolor to paint the inside of the lettering. It really is a piece of art.

Q: Can I request a certain animal on my invitation or calling card?
A Yes. If I already have it as a stamped image, then I will let you know and I can incorporate that into the item. Otherwise, your order would incur an extra fee.

Q: What kind of grommet and string do you use for the gift tags?
A: I use a color coordinated and sometimes shaped, i.e. a flower grommet. They will be added onto the top left corner of your tag. I have had a lot of luck with embroidery thread. I use a few threads for each tag to make it stronger. These two additions make your order more unique.

Q: May I see a proof of my order?
A: Yes, you may. I will need to know if you do want to see a proof, so check the box for proof if you need it during ordering. Depending on how long you take to get back to me, the delivery time may vary.

Q: How quickly can I expect my order?
A: I will be able to send out your order from North Carolina in 3-4 business days or sooner for everything but invitations. I am assuming that with proofing invitations, that it will take a bit longer. Please add time to be delivered from North Carolina by USPS.

Q: Are there some styles that look better on items than others?
A: Yes! Good Question! I prefer simpler styles for calling cards since they are so small. The more ornate styles are best on personalized notecards, large pads and some of them are ok for luggage/bag tags. Some names just get lost in a smaller format.

Q: Do you come up with new designs very often?
A: I am always trying to come up with a new name art style that would suit a smaller format. Sometimes, I add dots and dashes with an outline to make it more interesting and to make the letters stand out from one another better.

Q: Are there some color combinations you prefer more than others?
A: Well, I tell you, the only combinations I find harder to read are darker colors mixed together. It just doesn't make sense to do dark colors together. But if you like blue and red, it needs to have a white or lighter color with it to be readable. I love green, turquoise, purple and lavender together. I adore the "girl" colors.. the oranges, pinks and yellows. The blends of what we consider to be "boy" colors and "girl" colors are very sweet, too. If the "boy" colors are more prominent, it is good to add a yellow or middle of the road color as an accent and the visa versa for the "girl" colors.

Q: Do you do special orders?
A: Of course! I am the Queen of special orders! That is why this business is here. Your ideas are very important to me. If you want an invitation that is for a special purpose, I will work with you to create that.

Q: Do you have other sizes for your invitations and envelopes?
A: It is no problem doing larger sized invitations for you, if you require it. E-mail or call me, and we can discuss what you need. The time may take a bit longer, since the envelopes will have to be special ordered. Unless I begin to get a large request for larger invitations, I won't be stocking the larger sizes.
